Does anyone have any advice for a ';ocean'; theme for a teenage girls room?

Paint the walls ocean blue and the ceiling lighter blue with some white clouds, easy to do with a sponge. Then paint sand colored around the most open wall of her room. You can hang a net like boats use and put some sea shells and sun glasses. Maybe a table with an umbrella with bright colors and paint her furniture with white and blue with bright primary color knobs. Paint wooden ones or the ones you have already. Buy a colorful rug that looks like a beach towel and put that under the table or at the foot of the bead. Go to The Rug Company to see what they have. Use beach chairs and maybe a hanging hammock chair if you can get it hung from the rafters or the beam that will hold a kid or two. Fill some colored bottles from the Dollar Tree with sand and put them in the window...use shades or shutters or striped yellow curtains and let all the light in that you can. Maybe hang some posters or pictures of ocean scenes. Try DIY to see if they have any theme roos to look at. Good luck.Does anyone have any advice for a ';ocean'; theme for a teenage girls room?

Paint the walls an ';ocean'; color; you could get a cool border; use shells or jars of sand for decoration; have a fish tank
Teenager? Ask her; most likely she has some ideas of her own. If she has no ideas; have her brain storm about the things she likes about the ocean, beach etc. That may help point you into the right direction. Some folks say I want an Ocean theme...but what they really like is traveling...? Sounds like fun.
Miss Mary has some excellent suggestions, but I will add one to it. When painting the sand color, actually put sand in the paint to give it a sandy texture and feel.
loads of fun ideas for all ages

Paint the room a nice tropical color, like Sherwin Williams' ';aloe.'; Maybe even paint a fun stencil over top, like one of these:
