Teenage depression.. advice?

I'm 18 years old and I've STILL yet to ever kiss a girl. Prom is just around the corner and the past few months I've been feeling depressed a lot because of myself. I'm short (5'7';, ugly (avg looking at best) and kind of shy.





I don't understand why a guy like me, who isnt' good looking, but is incredibly nice and caring and all that can't have a gf.. yet my friend who cheats on his gf left and right keeps getting his gf back because he's good looking and a smooth talker.





I met the most AMAZING girl I've ever talked with and I have such a huge crush on her. I'm usually good at finding flaws in people and she is literally flawless. I thought she was interested in me, but then I found out she just likes me as a good friend and she has a bf.





Now I'm even more depressed.. I don't understand why women say they like sensitive, kind men.. but all the asshole/cheating/scumbag guys get the most desireable gfs. I'm more depressed every day and I'm feeling increasingly lonely.. what do I do?Teenage depression.. advice?
I don't care if you hate me for saying this, but here's the (harsh) truth:





Highschool girls (and even college girls) do not want guys who will be doormats. The reason you are unsuccessful with girls is because you idolize them. You put them on a pedestal and act like they are goddesses. To a girl, that is not interesting.





Girls at that age want to have fun. They want a guy who can make them laugh and tease them. They want their relationships to be challenging.





I can't give you specific ways to fix your scenario, but here are a few suggestions.





- Pick up a hobby that will show people that you are an interesting and unique individual.


- Learn to relax your body language. You will look a lot more approachable if you don't always have your arms crossed.


- When you like a girl, don't be all nice and sentimental to her. Treat her like you would any other person. It is just a girl. She is no better than you, and vice-versa.


- When you want to ask a girl on a date, don't ask. Tell her. Here's a favorite line of mine: ';Hey, I am going to *insert activity here* on Saturday and I would like you to join me.';


That not only tells the girl that you're interested in her, but it gives her a lot less room to say no.





Lastly, get in the mindset that you can have any girl you want. Tell yourself that you are an interesting person and people should feel privledged to be in your presence. Do this without being an a-hole, and you'll be surprised at how much easier dating will be.





I know ugly guys who bag some of the hottest chicks. It's all in the personality man.

It's ok that you haven't kissed a girl yet.


One day, you will probably meet someone who will appreciate your good qualities.


That is the person best for you.


The girls that like the cheaters and liars are mixed up and hopefully will come to their senses one day. I feel sorry for them.

get over it you'll find a girl who likes u for who u are there are a bunch of girls who love guys just for their personality itll be ok!!!
just wait for the right girl to come. but don't let her go. talk to her and hang out with her. i know how you feel dude.
look, for the most part, women DO like sensitive and caring men. but guess what? the girls in your school are not women and you are not a man. right now, it's all about looks to everyone. wait till you're a few years older, and don't worry so dam much about girls.
