Calling all teenage girls for fashion advice

ok my daughter is going into highschool next year. and it is tradition that i buy her her outfit for the first day of school. here is what i bought her. tell me what you think! :)

I'm 14 and also going into high school, though i'll be at the freshmen center, and the only thing I really liked was the first top. But, for the girls who prefer leggings, this would probably be really cute. I've always ben one for flats, so i'm not digging the shoes too much, but you've got a good sense of style! I would never let my mom shop for me, lol. :)

but umm..teens are wearing leggings and the blouse is cute too (aqua)


but..i dont think they wear leggings alone..and i think you should go with skinny jeans with the aqua top...and the leggings for the black shirt(second outfit) with a denim skirt( not long..mid thigh)...butttt ummm...i think you should take ur daughter and let her shop for her own clothes..unless these are the clothes she likes..other than that..i think its cute! the whole tradition thing!
The outfit's terrific, but you want to make sure she has full coverage on her butt! For a mother, you have terrific taste. Only one thing,wrong link for shoes. And make sure your daughter approves of them before her first day, don't keep it and surprise her on the first day and force to wear it. Hope she likes it too :]
I think the first one is more mature and the second one is more casual, which I would pick for school. Why don't you ask her, the best fashion advice for the first day of school is that comfort and liking the outfit is the best way to feel confident.
ok the shirts are super cute!! but umm the first outfit is tacky. U want her to have something covering her butt and leggings don't cut it. They would be better with a longer shirt/short dress or under a skirt, not worn as pants. I would recommend a pair dark colored skinny jeans. The shoes r cute 2
the second outfit looks almost too middle school.


the first outfit is cute but i dont think that shirt is long enough so you might want to find some cute shorts to go with it..and i dont know if your school is like mine but we cant wear leggings as pants.

1st shirt is school inappropriate, but i like the 2nd shirt but in pink to go with shoes and leggings better because that would be to much back on black and other then that everything is cute:-)
i didn't really like the outfits, since ur daughter is going to highschool i think she can manage to chose her outfits, they just dont go well together, everything doesnt go well together, u can find so much nicer outfits at forever21 than the ones u got!!

i'm going to be a freshman and to be completely honest, i don't like the outfits too much.





however, it looks like your daughter has a different style than me so whatever floats her boat.
As a teenager myself all the outfits are surprisingly great! The star print is really cool! Do not forget the accessoriess they are vidal check out tiffany and co. or even american eagle and urban outfitters!


Shoes good but try some roxy ballet flats


But all around fabulous job!



You are like the best mom ever!!! You can never go wrong with forever 21 and converse. Great prices nd the cutest stuff ever...but the skirt link is wrong i think...i clicked on it and got the shirt.
It's alright but my advice would be to not buy too much or really expensive things as this can spoil her. Go to the local mall and buy whatever is reasonably priced and decent for your teen daughter.
I Think With The Leggings You Should Have Bought Her Sum Flats Instead Of Tennis Shoes But Your A Great Mom To Buy Her Something That's So Cute And The Second Outfit Is Fabulous 2?
i really like the first outfit best but why not pair up the outfit with cute black flats instead of converse shoes cause to me the outfit doesn't really fit well with the converse shoes. well tats my opinion!
Leggings are kinda out of style and u shouldn't just wear them by them selves and the shoes don't rly go with ne of the outfits, but i like the first top
As far as it remains simple, it is indeed the best.





Just keep in mind, that for outfit there is nothing more beautiful than simplicity.
I like the first outfit. I don't care for the second one! Wonderful job picking out clothes! I wish my mom would ask teenagers for advice when she buys me clothes!

yea i think it's good but you might want to consider a jacket depending on the school...i like the first outfit.
Looks good to me :-). Just make sure that her school allows spegetti straps before she wears the first outfit
