1- it is still better to breastfeed her, but i know people who only breastfed for the first couple of months
2-yeah, lay a blanket on the floor and make sure that you keep an eye on herTeenage mom needs advice please!?
You can stop breastfeeding now if you like. But formula is VERY expensive. You will be spending like $80-$100 a week only on formula. And baby ';poop'; on formula is way stinkier than that on breast milk. So think about that. Alot of moms continue to breast feed because its a natural and inexpensive food source. If you are finding it hard to keep a regular feeding schedule, then pump your breast milk and freeze it. Just remember that once it thaws it needs to be fed to the baby asap (within 1hr), or else its just bad. And don't store leftover breast milk the baby didn't finish.
Don't put the baby on your carpet. It's dirty and harsh on their sensitive skin. The best thing to do is get a soft blanket and fold it once to make it extra comfortable. I would advice you to lay on the floor next to the baby. I wouldn't want you to accidentally step or trip on the baby if you get up in a hurry.
Just please don't forget to keep an eye on your baby. Don't assume that because the baby can't get into anything or fall down anything that it's safe to leave her unattended. She may still roll over and become stuck face down onto the blanket. That could limit her breathing.
Yes it is ok to stop breast-feeding her, but you have to wean her from breast-feeding, you can't just snatch it from and stick a bottle in her mouth.
Wean her slowly from your breasts by introducing the bottle to her gradually. Your baby may have problems learning to suck on a bottle because babies suckle at the breast, a different mouth action.
And I don't recommend putting her on the bare carpet, there are too many germs buried in the fibers of carpets for your baby to be down there.
If you want to lay her on the floor, make her palette from a nice clean and fresh blanket or get her a baby mat from Walmart
It's best to continue breast feeding until the baby is at least six months old but that's easier said than done sometimes. If you really want to stop than that's ok, but keep in mind formula is pretty expensive.
It's absolutely ok to put your baby on the carpet. In fact it's good for her. That's how they learn to roll over and crawl and things. Just make sure the floor is picked up and there's nothing she can get into. Also it would probably be better to lay a baby blanket on the floor and put her down on that. It's cleaner that way.
There is no standard time for stopping breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is the best possible way to feed your child, so if you can continue for another few months, it's better. If not, you can move her to formula.
What's carper? Did you mean carpet? Yes, you can put her on the floor but you should probably put a towel or some kind of protection, it will be more comfortable. But you can't leave her alone and go do stuff without checking on her though, in case she was to spit up and choke.
Google.com is a very simple method to find answers.
I don't think 4 months is all that old to stop breast feeding but I know one way to be sure.
Why would you put your baby on the carpet where it is dirty? It's not a different species or a pokemon. It's a tiny human-being with sensative skin.
You can stop breast feeding at anytime. What I suggest is that you look up breast feeding on ANY parenting site, and get some answers there. The carpet is an ok place to put your baby, but I suggest just laying a blanket down first. Try buying some books about parenting. They'll help you lots
People need to quit giving you shiit about this.. Don't you guys think she gets and has gotten enough crap about it at home and school? Gez, have some respect.
Yeah you can quit breastfeeding him/her now. And don't put him/her on the bare carpet. They can get rug burns. Put your baby on a blanket or one of those baby chairs that lay back.
Good luck and God bless you!
Answer to #2 - yes, you can put her down. Make sure the carpet is clean, or better yet, put down a blanket/quilt. When she starts rolling/crawling then you need to always keep an eye on her or have play pen.
1. Yes you can stop at any time by gradually replacing one feeding at a time with formula and solids (baby food cereal) it will take up two months to wean baby.
2, Yes, but throw a clean blanket down first.
1. No!! breast feeding is important for the health of baby and mom. Baby needs natural nutrients that ONLY breast milk can provide.
2. Yeah but i suggest putting a blanket down before so.
Breast feed as long as you can. It is the best milk %26amp; nourishment for the baby. what did you mean by carper? Did you mean carpet?
You're asking for advice when you wouldn't follow the great advice you got about NOT becoming a teenage Mom? You can put her on a blanket on the floor, not the dirty floor!
At least 3 months is pretty good. But i'd suggest you breastfeed as long as possible. And when you put her down, make sure there is a blanket to keep her comfortable.
omg! calm down its her life and child not yours!
all she is asking is for your help!
{{im sorry im only 12 idk any of those answers im soo sorry i wish i could help}}
